This year I had again the privilege to speak at a Lab and a Breakout session during Cisco Live Barcelona 2020 or CLEUR for short. This was not my first time in Barcelona (See this blog) and its always a busy, but very nice time.
Lab and Breakout
Together with my colleague Gina Nienaber we did a 2-node HyperFlex Edge Lab. The lab was create into the dcloud environment and was on physical new hardware. Therefor we were unable to have more then 16 participants. We know there were a lot on the waiting list. Maybe next time we can expand this lab.
After the installation of HyperFlex Edge via Intersight the participants had to wait 90 minutes. This is a long time, so we created a HyperFlex Edge Intersight API lab where the participants learned the basics of the Intersight API explorer and tested a Python script to put HyperFlex profiles into Intersight. This was a pretty awesome piece of lab!
During the BRKINI-2259 I explained the HyperFlex Edge Sizer tool with a live demo.
I had a small part by showing an API demo where I created a lot of HyperFlex Profiles and policies in Cisco Intersight with only Intersight APIs and an excel-sheet.

HyperFlex Anywhere
At the World of Solution there was a HyperFlex booth where I was there for 3 shifts. Sometimes we had a lot of questions which varied from basic to HyperFlex Application Platform.
Everybody likes to touch equipment, so there was also a HyperFlex rack with HyperFlex Edge, All Flash and All NVMe cluster in it.
At the WoS there were also a lot of other vendors with HyperFlex equipment and demo’s :
During Whisper- and Design sessions the customers could have an hour talk with somebody with the Business Unit. I was also at some sessions and the interaction was really nice.

What you don’t see
Cisco Live is always a busy time, but what you don’t see is the preparation of the Labs, breakout sessions. Building the WoS and make sure that the equipment is shipped back again to the right place.
Also the network at Cisco Live is huge and a lot of people are working on that all the times, behind the scenes.
World of Solution after it ended

This year was the last year in Barcelona. During the closing session the next location was announced :
